I cant believe you're so calm about having another racoon in your attic. Do they chew on electrical wires? And the pee/poop -- OMG. Does your poor hubby trap them?

Edited to add that I thought ringtails were closely related to the racoon family. I didnt realize that they're in a class by themselves.
Glad you found about of the Melatonin too!!

Critters are a way of life here. I guess I didn't move the day I came downs stares and found a snake in the living room so I 'm here for the long haul.

Yes, TFW, they pee, poop and give birth. Just about everyone has something in their attic ( or belfry ) and they never know it. You just block the entrance and clean it up. Such is life I guess. With all this rain there's no telling what we'll find shortly. And we aren't really "country" anymore. So much has built up around us we are like an island in the middle of civilization.

Laughing is good for the soul. I book marked it so I could revisit whenever I need a laugh.

Laughing is, indeed, good for the soul -- and for the body!

Right?! I can't imagine life without laughter!!

We've had over 8 inches this week alone!! Enough for a while please. Hate to complain with all that's going on in poor Louisiana.

It's my turn to host our Good Sams rally next month. Sure would love to serve some helium beer...
ol well. Strawberitas it is. Easy to make and everyone loves them. I cheat and just pour one bottle each of Tequila, margarita mix and strawberry mix into a bowl, mix together and pour back into the three bottles. Then your all ready to just add ice and mix to the blender. No measuring for each drink.

I need a good outside game to play. Thinking about softball with water balloons.... Our lake is FULL so I'm sure there will be lots of water time. Boy, did I get lucky!!

Great idea about making strawberry margaritas, Camper! I love margaritas but have one only once or twice a year -- when I go out to eat at Mexican rsstaurants.

Wish I knew a good outside game to suggest. Softball with water balloons sounds awesome!

Supposed to start drying out here over the weekend.

The sun is out and it's beautiful here!!! Darren got most of the grass cut yesterday, now it's time to start dumping all the little things that hold water and refill my bird feeders.

I got lucky and found a new glass patio table for 50% off plus another 20% off so we sat outside last night with a cocktail ( Gin & Tonic these days laddies!!) and put the table together. I am SOOOO ready to get a chili and light a fire.

Dinner at daughters tonight! I love Tuesdays!!!

Rained here again -- not much but just enough to be steamy, as it will be through the weekend.

My house is two blocks from an elementary school and the 1st day back to school was yesterday. I made the mistake of going out to run an errand at 2:30 today. OMG, the traffic. Going back home, it took me 25+ minutes to get the last 2 blocks back to my house due to parents picking up their kids.

I was out and about yesterday morning from 10-12. For once I didn't encounter much traffic at all. I did go to the grocery store, among other places, and bought a lot of stuff. Now I can't decide what to eat first. I like that.

Lol! You remind me of me when I got my first place. As soon as I got home from the store i would open everything and eat one of each just becasue I could!!

I'm getting so bad about not getting out of the house. I just really enjoy being here. Hubby says I'm becoming a hermit. I can see me as a Hobbit living in the woods with just the birds and rabbits for company.
