That's awesome news!!! I think she's beautiful and I love the pink scarf!!
This is going to be great for both of you. You both have a lot of love to give & I look forward to hearing the daily antics of your lives!! I am so proud of you TFW!!!!!
Good for you TFW! I somewhat envy people that can move on to adopting another dog. Personally, I can't, knowing that they won't live as long as me (broke my heart when our dog went). (I know theoretically that every adopted dog is a dog likely saved, haven't gotten to that point myself though). Maybe a cat in the future for me (although I also know not every cat will last as long as my last one did). I'm glad you got to or were already at that point that you can accept "life cycle".
Lena looks beautiful to me, TFW. After reading about her there is no doubt in my mind that the two of you are made for each other. It is in no way too soon for you to adopt again. All that love has to go somewhere and why not to Miss Lena.
For those of you who like to play mahjong on the computer, here is a link to a free site where you can play it all you want. There is no time limit on it. I've been playing there for quite a few years. There is no log-in, either. Just click and play. I love this game.
Thanks so much, my dear friends -- Camper, Bob, Flamingo and Ketabcha. Your friendship and support mean so much.
I don’t know if I’m really ready because I’m still crying so much over Queenie. No dog will ever replace her, but I truly cant bear the thought of mourning like this for a year or more – and, with my lifestyle, that’s what would happen.
Lena will give me a reason to go on. She needs someone to love her so badly -- and so do I.
Mahjong Safari is my favorite game on Pogo too. I also like Word Whomp a lot. Those are the two games that my occupational therapist told me to play to keep my brain active after I stopped going to therapy a few years following my stroke.
When I first started playing Mahjong Safari, it took me at least 15 minutes to play the easy ones. That was nine years ago. Now I can zip through them in less than two minutes (okay, sometimes three minutes). But I've found that, if I dont play them for a few days, it takes me longer to get through them again. My poor broken brain.
I am so happy that you have decided to foster Lena. I have no doubt that your decision will change both of your lives for the better. I think this is exactly what you need. Of course she will not replace Queenie, but she will give you many years of companionship and love as you will give her. You will now have a good reason to get out of bed in the morning, knowing that someone there is waiting for you to get up and start your day together. Keep us posted.
Hope everything went well today!! Can't wait to hear from you!!
