Yes, but again, they had many more cases and correspondingly more deaths. That does not necessarily mean that their fatality rate is higher. I mean it could be, due to the overload at times of some of the hospitals.

Coming back to the 0.26%. Take the country as a whole, that would mean close to 41 million infected.
Or subtract NYC first - so 85 thousand deaths elsewhere . That translates to almost 33 million infections outside of NYC if using the 0.26% again with no adjustment.

That just does not sound plausible at all.

Sounds plausible to me. 10-15% of the country infected? I caudal see it when this thing is supposedly as contagious as it is. I think you are going to find out that people you know had it and didn't even know.

Hopefully more and more days with 0 new deaths. Wish that this is the end of Covid-19 and there is no second wave - neither now nor in the upcoming fall/winter.

Any working theories why Irving - ZIP 75061 and Dallas/Cockrell Hill ZIP 75211 have been hit so hard?

I believe 75061 may be due to the meat packing plant.

The mortality rate has gone down compared to a month ago. With more testing available, people are being treated earlier.

Now that tests are taking only 45 minutes vs 1-2 weeks to identify, doctors can provide plasma therapy, Remdesivir, and oxygen earlier. When testing took forever, patients were already on the ventilators before results came back.
