What I like most is healthier convenience food at a really reasonable price! Frozen egg rolls, for example--much less sodium & fat than most. And the frozen marinated Ahi tuna steaks are awesome in taste & price. All kinds of simmering sauces, breads, muffins, organic spaghetti sauce that's low in sugar for like $2.00. Pure, unsweetened juices like Cherry, Pomegranate or Cranberry for almost half what you'd pay anywhere else. I love TJ's; it's not really a place to do all of your grocery shopping, but a place to go once in a while & stock up on the things you love.

I'll pack a cooler since I've never tried their frozen foods before. We've always been traveling and never felt comfortable keeping things frozen for the full day or two drive home.
I didn't realize Trader Joe's had a monopoly on maple syrup.

Nope. But it is very good maple syrup at a very good price.

It's good to see that something new and trendy (like Trader Joes) isn't getting it's start in the trendy, uppity, wannabe yuppie areas like Plano, Frisco, Addison and N. Dallas.

When I saw the local news report that Fort Worth was getting the honors of the first store, I couldn't help but smile a little!

It's good to see some other area besides the ones metioned above getting the first of something that is immensely popular in this country.

If you think TJ is trendy, let alone Plano, Frisco, Addison, or ND...lady, you need to take a vacation somewhere beyond North Tejas.

Fail.

Though I think there are some in Dallas and Plano who are bit surprised that the first TJ's in the area to open is in Fort Worth. Usually, that's not how these things (H&M, In-N-Out, Whole Foods, etc.) work.

The first Central Market in the area opened in Fort Worth about 10-1/2 years ago, then the one in Plano opened, with the one in Dallas being third.
