I am in the higher elevation of SE Hartford County and it is nothing but rain here. Forget today, I am looking towards that potential juicy storm for next week

GFS12z today says it goes from 32°F at 7pm on the 23rd to 5°F 12hrs later at 5000'. #BOMB

I'm going to have to start a storm thread soon.

But right now...…..Models are saying this....

GFS: Sleet to Blizzard
German: Big rain storm (doesn't phase the Jet streams soon enough)
Canadian: Rain to snow (doesn't phase the Jets south enough)
Euro: Snowstorm

While the Midwest suffers through bone-chilling cold next week, we're still talking about rain possibilities here?

I'm at 1000' in Litchfield County. We got some brief snow here today, just enough to cover the driveway. No accumulation just down the hill.

New GFS goes warmer. Rain to snow scenario. Still 7 days out but models trending with a warmer solution and not a favorable storm track. Lets see how it goes

Why New England gets the most interesting weather on earth is because we get air from North Pole, from the Pacific Ocean, from the Gulf of Mexico, from the Equator, and from the Atlantic Ocean all at the same time... and that's what happening next week. No question about a big storm happening... Timing, Ptype, and details unknown still.

39 Hour Radar Loop with metars & storm reports condensed into 16 seconds.

Looking at all the Connecticut airport sites, none reported snow to start. lol. Swing and a Miss!

Eastern MA been getting hit with moderate-heavy waves of rain for 12 hrs

Interior especially above 1000' got a deep snowpack, 1-3 feet!
