I'm broke....I'm drained

This relief won't even start charging my internal battery, it will just stop me from dying inside

Funny, but it doesn't seem as hot in central CT as it has been. I even took my dog out and we sat and ate outdoors at a cafe. Too hot to garden but that's been the case for quite a while now. There's a breeze out there though.

Tomatoes are ripening on the vine but I will have to pull the summer squash out. I think the endless heat was too much and weakened it. Is there something called "rain" that is ever going to get here?

Super heavy downpour happening in Danbury and north end of Newtown. heading towards Waterbury now. Lightning and Thunder with it. Wouldn't be surprised if someone got over 1/2" in 30 minutes time

Windsor got some rain too clipping north end of Hartford

Not sure of the accuracy, my rain gauge was at 1 inch here in Bethel......much needed rain

Nice! Lucky! Here are the reports from yesterdays storms.

The 1.09" you see in Southwood Acres is confirmed with someone who is about 5 minutes away in Enfield with 1.03". Great to have multiple reporters in same town. Meanwhile South Windsor with only 0.10"

Here in Newtown it poured for a while. Wasn't all that windy but a couple of trees came down, we watched one fall in the woods between us and the neighbor. Just too heavy with the sudden rain? Some people around us lost power, we lost it for about 30 seconds but came back on.
