This years dewpoints at BDR.

This is the anomaly of humidity in the air. That dry air with dews in the 40s and 50s was something special for August

Rain totals past 2 days.

Chester: 2.70"
Mystic: 2.26"
Groton: 2.20"
Norwich: 2.17"
Windsor: 1.68"

NJ wins with more areas receiving over 2 inches.

Eastern CT with generally 1-2" with some spots over 2"

Northern RI into Eastern MA saw 1-2" as well.

Southern NY and Western CT under 1/4-1/2"

Look at these places in CT that got over an inch. I'm jealous.

Still no rain in Central CT except for the sprinkles yesterday. The sky is darkening as I type though so maybe? (I did see actual rain over the weekend on a trip to MA. Otherwise, can't remember the last time it rained although it was drizzling last night when I went out for a grinder.)

Now focus on Waterbury, Hit, after hit and a 3rd hit now. WOW! I bet you someone there is over 1.5" for sure

As the reports are still coming in, here's a quick look at the highest 24hr rain totals in the U.S. Notice anything?

Congrats to Rehoboth, Massachusetts getting 7.44".
Raymond, Mississippi is 2nd with 4.84".
Pawtucket, Rhode Island 3rd with 4.64"

Waterbury, Connecticut with 3.05" It was totally seen on radar. I didn't expect over 3" happened. Wow.
