Still 1 week away. Its like watching a snowstorm 7 days out.

The temps according to the Euro, too, are insane, next Th/Fr. Are we going to be seeing major power outages in that heat?

No. Those model maps that far out are the same as looking at a snowstorm yet meteorologists on twitter hate when you post snowfall total maps that far out meanwhile they can post extreme hot temps.

Anyway... sounds short lived

Heat indices are expected in the upper 90s to low 100s for much of the area on Thursday, and possibly into Friday. A cold front approaches for
Friday, and depending on the timing, Friday may be a few degrees warmer than Thursday should the front sweep through late in the day.

Euro says this for Max temps Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Sunday, Monday

Euro00z output for Hartford... Ouch.

I Rather see negative numbers in the 850mb column but this is interesting too

20-22°C = 68-73F at 5000' !!!!!!!

Just checked the NWS BOX forecast for the upcoming week...showing only 2 days in the 90s (Wed / Thurs). Looks like low-to-mid 80s for highs next Saturday! If this next blowtorch is short-lived, I don't mind.

That's a relief. I realize I'm lucky to have central AC, but my last electric bill was an all-time high!

My bill was 30% more than it was same time last year and it wasn't as hot this year. I didn't do anything different in fact I been conserving more keeping TStat higher.

So I figured out 2 contributing factors...

1. It has been more humid so my dehumidifiers ran more
2. I took down 2 big trees over winter! HUGE difference in the amount of summer heat that's causing on the property. So I guess the AC is running more even though the tstat is set higher.

PLANT TREES GUYS!!!
