This is insane, just yesterday I was on the back deck overlooking the back 40 with my favorite beverage in a t-shirt....today, I'm covering some of my landscaping to protect it from a freakin' winter storm

It's a sleet storm
Long Island was ice, now is rain.
Bridgeport was sleet, ice now reporting snow? Probably not snow. These precip sensors sometimes make a mistake.
At leastg northern part of CT getting snow. 1-3" on the ground
Back edge is in Western PA

Didn't amount to a hill of beans in Hartford County. Why do they call school off for what they thought would be around 6" at the most? It's much less, more like 2".

Because there was the threat of ice, which a lot of places (perhaps south of Hartford) did get. Ice is worse than 6" of snow.
