Cold Vortex over us now. It's like 5°F at 10,000'! Below freezing at 4000'. Surface not gonna heat up with that. lol

FYI - The balloon launch from Albany and Upton will tell us exactly what the temperature is above our heads.

I put together a collage of tweets from this late season snowstorm. I will also have to update my blog to include this. So many Early and Late Season snow/Cold events past 10 yrs.

But--snow in April in at least the Boston area is not a shock. The last time it didn't snow in April was back in 2012, apparently!

I think they mean ANY snow such as sleet or flurries. Even NYC gets that in April every 2-3 years on average (for example since 2010 they had traces in 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2020 and 5.5" in 2018)

Ah, so you want measurable snow? Getting technical on us, eh?

That's one day next week. Thursday. High of 49. Rest of the days expected highs in the 60's or low 70's.

Snowfall Totals from NWS Reports. None from the 4 Southern Counties

Tolland Won.

From CoCoRaHS network.

Someone in Union reported 11.9". Not only doesn't match the color scale (red = 12"+) but I think that's an error.

Anyway - reason no reports from Litchfield county is nobody is with the CoCoRaHS network there. We need some volunteers!
