Let’s see what happens Cam - looks like a non event. I’m down to 2” of rain forecast and gusts in the 30s. Yawn - I wouldn’t call that a win. This was never even a hurricane - the nhc/nws completely exaggerated the strength. Overruled the hurricane hunters lol

Because it weakened and moved north of us

It technically was a hurricane briefly between the Bahamas and Florida. It was projected to become one again but didn't so I agree it may end up weaker than they are saying....

There was considerable dissent on whether Isaias was actually a hurricane. Recon never captured winds above 50kts.

All Tropical Systems that have crossed the state

35 of them. Only 8 of them were Cat 1 or stronger.

Right, Nobody talked about "a big event" other than a ton of rain. Except I heard the news media and TWC saying "bracing for disaster" and "Deadly Storm"... typical sensationalism stuff.

Max Wind Gust forecast. "MAX". Means could be only 1 wind gust which can get to this point.

Surprised its so low actually. I figured we would see more 35mph+ as a max. NYC and Fairfield county should see some 30+mph "gusts" not sustained. big difference.

Anyway - Gusts will only come occasionally. Not a hurricane guys but with heavy rains heads up for some weak limbs

Precip forecast

That's the story

Tornado Watch? Really? Would've thought thats a bit too "optimistic" from SPC, looks like coverage will be light but where there are storms, it'll be dangerous

So not even a tropical storm Cam? Less than 35mph gusts (sustained winds 10-25mph). Lol

Was pouring here in Springfield around 3 pm for several minutes. Heard a tornado watch was posted for Hartford County.

Still worried about Tuesday. I still remember that awful windy/rainy Monday we had in April or so. My friend's place had a power cut-out.
