The ION I get is WHPX (formerly WTWS) Channel 26, which used to be out of New London, and is available on all CT cable systems. 22.3 is the Springfield ION affiliate, which is a digital subchannel of WWLP (Channel 22) in Springfield. Their new transmitter, as of last Friday, is on Rattlesnake Mountain. I'd suggest a rescan because the signal is absolutely solid (plus there are 5 additional digital subchannels).

WTNH/WCTX (the latter a subchannel of the former) is usually pretty solid where I am in the southern part of Hartford County, but my friends in Windsor can't get it with a regular window antenna, nor can they get Channel 40 (not even 22, despite Provin Mountain being only a few miles north of the CT border). I was able to watch the Pats game on WCTX without much trouble last night, even when the weather got a little dicey. WTIC with the Giants game actually gave me more problems and momentary outages, and Rattlesnake is closer than Gaylord Mountain in Hamden.

I goofed! I get 36!!! I was at 32 before.

22.1 22.2 22.3 22.4
65.2 65.3

Maybe I misread the number as I get 8 more than you.

We've gotten 40 in the past but it's gone now.

The two IONs are not 100% in sync but I was able to see they are the same show. Thanks!

I had the TV on for less than an hour as usual to watch the news, no deterioration in the signal of WVIT. It's intermittent.

"Channel 19" is actually part of the WVIT-TV signal. The Telemundo and Telexitos stations show as 19-1 and 19-2, but are channel shared with WVIT-TV.

Those in southern and western CT may have problems receiving WFSB-TV (CBS) channel 3 of Hartford. They and WCBS-TV (CBS) channel 2 both use channel 36 for their digital. Yep!

I'm surprised they allow that especially with so many options on the digital TV band. I bet they wouldn't let a NYC and Philly station share the same signal even though that is about the same distance (though for some odd reason they do let them share 101.1 on the FM dial and reduce power on both.....they don't for any other FM or TV station though).

Sharing? Do you mean channel sharing? WCTX-TV (MY) channel 59 of New Haven is actually a subchannel of WTNH-TV (ABC) channel 8. It may be 8-3, but your TV will display it as "59-1". In New York City and that area, WNJU-TV (TEL) channel 47 of Linden, NJ has WNBC-TV (NBC) channel 4 as their subchannel. Yep.

Then there's the separation issue with WFSB-TV (CBS) channel 3 and WCBS-TV (CBS) channel 2. Both use channel 36 for their digital transmissions. While WFSB comes off of Avon Mountain, I want to say that WCBS is still on the Empire State Building. Most are on, or will move to, One World Trade Center.

I also wonder if the city of license will change for WHPX-TV (ION) channel 26? At last check, they're still listed as New London. However, their transmitter was recently moved to Rattlesnake Mountain, the same place which has channels 20 (CW), 24 (PBS), 30 (NBC) and 61 (FOX).
