Black ice everywhere. Salt trucks were out after realizing this. Temp dropped into the 20s and all the rain and melting snow froze. Good call on delays!

Where were you driving. I commuted into NYC via 684 (back roads of Ridgefield/Wilton) --- and did not see any slippery spots. Terrible call.

Looks like eventually everyone in the state except Greenwich and Stamford had delays as places like Darien and New Canaan eventually followed.....I'm thinking it was ice on the back roads that brought on the delays as well as allowing time for people to scrape the ice off their car windows.

Interesting as most adjacent northern Westchester districts delayed too (but no one in NY south of 287 did....roads by me and on the way to Stamford were fine though I was almost late not realizing I'd have to scrape my car (and also I didn't put my wipers up like a lot of people do and had to wait for them to unfreeze).

Hmm... snow. Not sure I quite remember what that looks like...

From what I hear from contacts back home was just a couple inches from where home is.
