If everyone got 3 inches, this forecast map would be right.

I think most people missed the irony / prediction in this statement. You looking at a cold snowy March, Cam?

Why not.. Should we start the hashtag of #NoSpring again? Why not, past 5 yrs been like that.

GFS showing this as well. Arctic blasts start end of February.

Well below normal temps coming and might not move out fast.

See this is where I've become a winter optimist of sorts. I saw daily highs in the 30's and 40's for the next 10 days and thought, "At least it's not the 20's and teens like we saw a couple weeks ago". I will never make it as a weather reporter.

Record lows for the next several days.....

Feb 17: 1 degree in 2015
Feb 18: 0 in 2015
Feb 19: 3 in 2015
Feb 20: -1 in 2015
Feb 21: -7 in 2015
Feb 22: 9 in 2001.
Feb 23: 7 in 1999
Feb 24: -9 in 2015

And it had been frigid since the New Year. NO WONDER I NEARLY LOST MY MIND IN THE WINTER OF 2015. Worst winter of my lifetime by far.

Can someone tell the weather channel they look LIKE MORONS naming every day weather events in winter. I thought they stopped that except for big events....I hadn't watched in years but flipped it on today...

That was the beginning of media and public learning about the Polar Vortex! lol. It happened in 2014 as well but 2015, when Long Island Sound was freezing over, was more widespread talked about. Crazy record lows!! I'll never forget that month. Historic cold. Even Syracuse, and imagine how cold they had to be.

And here is some food for thought....

We have not had a snow event over 1.0" that stayed all snow this season..

Not even the biggest snowfall back in November, that changed to sleet as well.

And Here we go again tonight..

MakeItStop!

And it's happening during the night, that's how bad it is.

What else is new. Not even an inch here in the New Haven area. Barely a dusting.... NWS had 1-3 for here.

I was watching the radar at 10pm and was going to post "Just Forget it". I was so disgusted at the radar I didn't even want to post.

Just a glaze of ice here with some sleet pellets.

Eastern MA doing good. Seeing 2-4" being reported.

Radar loop last 4hrs. 2:30-6:30am Feb 18, 2019
