I'd say where's spring, but our springs always have wind.

So - where's summer?!
I've learned to not say where's spring until April 1st at the earliest. Reduced expectations are the only way to stay sane.

NWS seems to suggest snow tomorrow night into Thursday (low chance but it's in the forecast) and again Thursday night into Friday? (higher chance but still under 50%).

Wow! I wish I had a wind station in my back yard just now - seriously thought a couple of my windows were going to break.

Did you mean Wednesday night into Thursday?

Where do these people live who got high winds today? Seriously. Farmington Valley--I was outside and there was nothing. dh walked the dog by the river around 5pm and he did say there was a gust of wind, but nothing unusual. No snow or rain. Did it hit FF County and not Hartford County?

We have huge mountains of ugly dirty silvery snow though. Everywhere.

Are you deep in the valley (like near the river?)

If so that may really slow down the winds, ESP. since it's a north-south valley and the winds were from the west. It's possible they simply went over the whole valley.

I'm pretty sure they're widespread across the rest of the state.

Yes, the river runs right in back of the apartment. Guess we must have missed it. Seems that we don't get as much snow as they get higher up, like in Canton and Burlington. It's a micro climate!

I was reading on the MA forum that winds were high in Westfield which is just to the north and in eastern MA too.

I've only been in the river valley today (CT River) and the wind has been insane. Still going on. We've had gusts in the 20s & 30s all day.

The high wind warning came down at 7 PM, only to be replaced with a regular wind advisory until 1 AM Tuesday. I think they should've extended the existing warning instead.
