I'm actually concerned now... If started this early and sticking like this, we might get over 2-3"?

95 in Norwalk right now looks like a mess southbound based off the DOT traffic Camera! Correct me if I am wrong Cam but with these temps salt doesn't really work correct?

There's a light powder falling here. Small dog wants no part of going out. Large dog has been sent out with makeshift hood using small dog coat. It'll keep his ears warm and he seems to like it.

A herd of deer came up, an 8pt buck and 6 doe. We keep corn out for them and usually a block. I throw apples, too. Two doe are frequent visitors and I can call them in. These must be a feral bunch. They ran off when I went to throw more corn. The females seem to be squabbling. (over the guy?)

Anyway, the frozen tundra. Not liking it. At work we dealt with "no heat" and "frozen pipe" calls all day yesterday. With a 3-day weekend, I can only imagine what's in store for us Tuesday.

Correct. And I knew roads would be bad even with 1 inch. Lessons remembered from that day couple yrs ago.

Just drove to NY. Slow but roads were fine including the hilly back roads of Wilton.

Man this snow is going to be powdery. No snowball making today!

Check out these temps. Snowing in south NJ with temps in the teens. Single Digits in CT still.

Snow total forecast. Plowable snow for Long Island, probably everywhere since I don't think it will melt on the roads.

Not even an inch here of dry snow in my area of SW NJ.

6:15-10:15am Loop with storm reports. Just a slow steady light snow for us.. Only a few select spots with heavier bursts right now.

The old sand mixes work though, don't they? I don't recall seeing lines sprayed on the road yesterday.

This really stinks - I have to make 3 more trips from the valley to the hills today - and the hills are even colder than where I am.

It's 18 near the river right now.
