Speak for yourself. I have lived all over the country (including Florida!) and not only have I chosen to live in CT, I love the weather! I have a reasonably portable job and make a good salary. I have my choice of locations if I wanted to leave. If you hate the weather in CT, then what are you still doing here? Stop complaining and start formulating a plan to move and find your "perfect" place. I swear, it's like people on this forum take joy in being miserable with their lives.

On topic: today was a great day for outdoor work! Not too hot and lovely sunshine.

CT, VT and ME is enough for me to participate in. I tried in the MN weather thread but was just too quiet.

Glad MA and NY dont have one otherwise I'd have to quit my job and not sleep. Lol

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service New York NY
442 AM EDT Sun Jun 4 2017

Guidance is in good agreement at H5 through Monday with another
upper level closed low dropping into the NE from Canada.

The North American models (GFS/NAM/CMC) are all in agreement
with the slower progression of the upper low as compared to the
EC. Have sided with consensus and forecast reflects a slower
movement to the east.

Latest ECMWF has trended toward GFS with the idea of the upper
low lingering over the area rather than moving to the east mid
to late week. Forecast does have mainly diurnal chance PoP
during most of that time frame.

Uncertainty creeps in later in the week
Hilarious they don't mention ANYTHING regarding temps. LMAO!!! See full discussion here.

Reason why we've been in this cool type pattern is because there is blocking going on in the North Atlantic which is sending these Cold Dry Pools of Air down into the Northeast. But usually blocking means a warm High pressure over Greenland so I'm kinda shocked Greenland Ice and Snow are at record levels past 3 weeks.

Max temps Wednesday June 7th?

One of the most impressive gradients I seen in a while. 80s to 50s just a short drive away in PA.

Would you rather be in Binghamton still in the 40s early afternoon June 4th? Wow.

About to start drizzling here any minute.

I agree. May, June, July, August, September.. awful in CT.

Sure there will be a few good days here and there but between the Stratus clouds, rainy periods, Humid days, hazy air, and hot temps...... those 5 months are awful.
