Here's the setup for this weekend.

Now becoming clearer the cold front will stall SOUTH of NYC.

So will be snow to the north, rain to south of this front as a short wave moves across with moisture.

Enough moisture on the cold side of the front to drop a "little" snow across PA, NY, Southern New England. 1-3"

Is that for Saturday or Sunday? I'll be driving from Philadelphia to CT on Saturday night. Will be watching this carefully!

You'll go from rain to snow then. Maybe. Still 4 days away. Lol

This shouldnt be anything disruptive though. Not much precip at all and its not like temps will be in the teens

What a difference a day makes. Sunny and mid-40s in the 8 o'clock hour!

Where did all the snow go? It practically disappeared overnight!

Funny that the December 17 cement snow took 2 weeks to melt even with fog, rainy days, and 50s.

The January 7 fluff snow took 5 days with only 5 hrs of rain and 12hrs of 40s.

Yup, my lawn looked much better covered in snow. One thing I hate about this time a year, everything looks dead and gloomy.

Fantastic observation! that not all snowpack is created equal. Considering the "refrigerator" effect of snowpack, not a trivial fact.

Yes, I didn't think of that either. It must have really rained last night, total snow cover when I went to bed, almost none at all when I got up and went to work.
