Hilarious. They NEVER admit they were wrong or back off once they have started going forward. Just admit you blew it..it happens, it was a tough forecast/..
Exactly!!!

All throughout the tri state area they were standing on beautiful sunlit EMPTY beaches screaming about how crazy it is GOING TO GET and it never did. Okay fine, there were waves and rip tides... somehow my family has survived north carolina waves every summer with rip tides.. and NO lifeguards..

I had people coming up to me on Monday saying "Oh it's gonna get REAL BAD"

Wow, some wind and clouds here.. I can remember days on the boat MUCH WORSE than this and there wasn't even a storm out there!

Frankly even the ocean wasn't that bad. What is next..close the beaches for every off shore tropical system? Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Sure you have to be super careful in the ocean during a tropical system...but that's what we call enter at your own risk.

Probably a result of fear of our over-litiganous society....

About time!!!!!! Almost 1/4" of rain from Hermine. It's something though. And if it wasn't for Hermine providing those NE winds and clouds, we would of been hot.

Some depressing maps for this week. (At least short lived for us here)

Today

Thursday

Late this week. (take note of those dipping Jet in northern plains, hoping to get some of that next week)

Proof that it's still summer until the 22nd at 10:21 AM Eastern!

Here in New Britain, we've only had a big shower or two from Hermine in terms of precipitation. That's it!

As far as weather stats, Summer is over. Anything now will be part of Fall.

Is it just me or when I was a kid September was a cool month, maybe not October or November cool but it was not as much an extension of summer as it is now. Maybe my brain is just implanting fake memories.

I agree with you Clutchrider. There was a time back in the 80's & beyond when end of August/ early September was no longer summer.

Walking the dogs very early in the AM often needed a sweatshirt or sweater over a T-shirt. Being on the shore, we often had guests that time of the year. We would make a fire in the fireplace to take the chill off while we sat around having morning coffee. Mid day would warm up but evenings were a time for warmer clothing.

It was nice this past weekend to turn the A/C off, but today is humid and fans are on & I guess the A/C will back for the next several days. Sheesh !
