On the first real "summer like" day so far this season, I thought I'd post this:

Cambium's temperature scale:

-30F: chilly, even for him, he puts on a long sleeved hoodie and jeans

-20F: Perfect for a single layer long sleeved plad shirt, and jeans.

-10F: Warm enough to lose the long sleeves and go into a t-shirt. Perfect temperature for outdoor dining

0F: Warm enough now for him to lose the jeans and change into shorts and t-shirt.

10F: Perfect swimming weather. Too warm for yardwork or any other outdoor activities away from the water.

20F: By now, he is desperate to take a swim in an ice fishing hole.

30F: Borderline heat exhaustion. He immediately needs to jump into an ice fishing hole to remain conscious.

40F: DANGER ZONE........Imminent heat exhaustion. Even jumping into an ice water hole might not be enough to keep his core temperature low enough!!!

Pretty much warmest of the year for many places.

It's been 8 months since having this type of heat.

Hartfords at 88. Will they break 90??

Would you rather be in the CT Valley or at the CT coast?

Yup.. doesn't surprise me. Seems like that's been the case past couple years. 1 month total of spring then boom.

Hartford & Newark hit 90°.

Still only 70s and near 80 at CT coast.

I'm at 83.6° now.

Hartford now at 91°

I'm up to 84.7°. Shades, Windows and Doors now closed. Thank God for trees and dewpoints in the 40s.

Bridgeport hit 85 at 5pm. Last time was September 17th. As with pretty much most areas, it's been over 8 months since getting this type of heat...

And its dry! Tolerable to say the least. That's all I ask.. Just let it be dry enough!!

Kinda interesting. Since we got rains I don't feel as comfortable hitting the high numbers.

If it was bone dry I would be like 90s for sure. Lets see what happens.

Well Poughkeepsie, BDL, LGA and EWR cracked 90 today and Central Park came close. Even BDR on the coast got to 85.

Very Phoenix like though......lots of humidities in the 20s, EWR is actually at 18%. Looks a lot more humid out there though
