There is a mall in Norwalk besides the Sono Collection?

This looks like a great development. Glad to see it was approved. Can’t wait to see it built. Jay

How is this different than the one's in Fairfield that you are so vehemently opposed to?

If you look, this is not a large ugly five story overly dense monstrosity crammed onto a tiny lot. I believe this is appropriately sized for the site and the neighborhood character. The architecture is very attractive. The Norwalk zoning board was able to comment and offer input on the project. That’s the difference from the horrible 8-30g projects you see being forced around the state. Jay

It does look nice, unlike the typical 5 over 1 box.

Why do people support these big developments?? Why can't we just look at Sharon or Canaan or Granby or North Stonington as a place to become?

I saw the transformation of New Rochelle, NY which was once a beautiful suburb of NYC, now if you drive down there you will think you're in NYC. The North end is still good. At least in Norwalk High Rises aren't being built.

Exactly. New Rochelle was a nice town until they began allowing high rises. Now it is so strange to see 30 story buildings sticking out of low rise neighborhoods. We had a whole discussion about it on the Desegregate CT thread. It is entirely possible to have this same thing happen in any town in Connecticut under 8-30g affordable housing legislation. Jay
