That is great news!! Wegmans is known for doing in-depth research prior to making a decision where to open its next store, so they must have strong confidence in the area’s economic growth. All around, great news for CT! I hope this is the first of many Wegmans stores in the state.

One thing I do wonder is whether Wegmans will be able to sell wine in this store. Wegmans is known for their great wine selection and it would be a shame if the store in CT wasn’t allowed to sell wine.

The West Harrison store is tremendous. Tack on another win for CT.

Not only is Wegmans a great store but a wonderful employer. I worked at their HQ in Rochester, NY and it was the best working environment I ever experienced. Store personnel also rate their jobs highly. This is fabulous news!
Moving back to CT just got even better for me!

Very cool, will save us from needing to drive to Harrison every few weeks, and right on the Darien border no less.

I remember Sams Club got turned down here many years ago... It's still vacant. I'm surprised nothing has happened on Main Avenue here with a booming economy. I say we just plant 1000 trees instead!

I think the SoNO Mall will be able to quickly find a new tenant. The mall is an attractive asset with a good location.

So the State is providing $6 million to the city to help improve the area around the South Norwalk train station. It’s one of the last areas of the city to not have been gentrified. I guess it was inevitable. Jay

It was inevitable, demand is throught the roof. Just like NYers who, out of fear of being outed, have flooded into CT, Darien and NC downsizers and their recent grad kin are flooding into Sono. They've taken over.
