Yeah, its pretty impressive what's coming down.

A. Polar vortex splits from the pole and drops down which means one thing.

B. 1040mb Arctic High? Wow

C. Snowpack is well above and impressive in Eurasia and Canada and Hudson Bay icing up faster than decades which means any High Pressure from Canada will bring down some impressive airmass

D. We go from warm to a cold front to a cool weekend then to very cold mid week to end of next week.

Borderline. Go north and you'll definitely find it. Maybe flakes there or light snowfall but nothing exciting next 7 days. Maine Ski resorts are ecstatic. Earliest double digit snowfall days ago now another early 6" possible again Saturday. Sick.

Coldest polar front coming through. Thank Typhoon Nuri for buckling the jet stream, allowing arctic air to sink down.

It's all good news to me!

I for one look forward to the colder temps as well as smelling the fireplaces.

Less bugs, "cleaner air" and lesser dew points.

I wonder with this pattern would mean a Thanksgiving snow?
