It is impressive being we have hit 80s and 70s and rain so many times... Not sure I would call that "dirt". More like dirty snow. It's still frozen but just dirt looking. lol.

Good perspective on how glaciers stay frozen and take a long time to melt completely.

Here's the article Greg posted. I might take a ride there to get some pics myself.

This was May 26th but the pic above was yesterday I believe.

Inland Forecast. Friday and Saturday best days. Sunday gets a bit more humid.

If the sun doesn't pop through today I doubt we see 70s. Only 60 now and raining. Feels chilly!

Temps are about 5-10 below normal for the hour from DC to Maine near the coast. There's the coastal storm right now just exited the coast. Clearing not too far behind us now.

Meanwhile..

64% of Lyme served by CL&P has no power. From Rain???? 13,000+ total have no power. Yeah, I guess generators are always worth it to have

Looks like the heat and humidity stay away for another week. This weekend looks great as well with low humidity.

WHILE THERE IS ALWAYS UNCERTAINTY AT THIS TIME RANGE THERE IS VERY
GOOD AGREEMENT AMONG THE ENSEMBLES /ECENS & GEFS/ THAT A SUPPRESSED
NORTHERN STREAM/POLAR JET WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE CONUS AND
PRECLUDE ANY EXCESSIVE HEAT AND HUMIDITY FROM ENTERING SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND AT LEAST THE NEXT 7 DAYS IF NOT LONGER
. THUS A HEAT WAVE IS
NOT IN THE FORECAST BUT RATHER VERY PLEASANT TEMPS THIS PERIOD
/SEASONABLY WARM/ ALONG WITH COMFORTABLE HUMIDITY /DEW PTS IN THE
50S/.
