Mid March and we are getting storms suppressed well to our south. You expect that in January and February..not March. That cold arctic cold air mass may never be stronger or more south than this year.

Current radar. So the Canadian today brought some snow into CT tomorrow morning. GFS says the cutoff point was Long Island. Euro brought a dusting to the CT coast. I'm curious where the snow line ends up.

Something that caught my eye right now is that precip that's breaking out south of Williamsport and Scranton moving East.. That's a bit north more than expected for any precip. So we'll see how that batch evolves as it moves forward.

Nevertheless, don't expect any disruptions in the morning. Just for interesting purposes I'll be watching.
Metars show where it's snowing right now.

The precip having hard time pushing north. That High pressure is gobbling it up.

In fact.. here's a tweet from NWS NY

"Data from this evenings balloon launch shows very dry air from surface - 7,000 kft. This is a key factor in limiting snowfall tonight."

Edit: Here's the current surface map
1006mb Low in the south. 1028mb High over Great Lakes. 986mb low over Newfoundland.

If it snows again, I am packing my bags and moving to the Sunshine State...only 6-10 more years before retirement.

You are 0 for March ... may as well try another dart.

My guess is we saw our last inch or more snow for the coast this year.
