Current Radar. 1st batch is going to hit us today but its not the heavy stuff.

Remember all that Monday heavy snow talk? That's the 2nd batch which will miss us.

Not often we can say heavy snow stays south of us in March.
While definitely sounds like a miss compared to what we have had, I think if there's still the possibility of 4-5" near the coast schools need to think a little down there before making it a "nothing", especially if busing is heavily involved and if it's still snowing decently Monday morning. If the latter is the case, I would hope they would at least do delays which don't have to be made up if that's the reason for hedging on a snow day. Maybe it being on a Monday would lean them in that direction anyway in a close call since (to me) a Monday or Friday snow day is less disruptive to learning than when it's midweek.

Definitely sounds like barring a major change in the models it will not like some of our January/Feb events but I'm not ready to completely discount it yet, there were too many last-minute northward moves in the last minute this year.

Cam- What are your thoughts on long term? It's looking like there is no end in sight of the cold.. LOL.
I can't wait to get the tally for seasonal totals. It's going to be impressive East of the Rockies especially the northern Mid Atlantic

I don't see an end either. Looking at the latest GFS it says no 40s and mostly below freezing till the 18th now. Obviously anything past the 10th can change and flip but its amazing to keep seeing the numbers continue.

After this one, some snow showers mid week. March 7 Storm still showing up. March 9th storm as well.

Interesting stats! 80s seem so FAR off right now. Heck... 60s seem so far! I wonder what the official record is for longest wait to see 80. Short crop season this year??
