Yup that's my gauge on potential storm severity also!

** The EURO has bowed to the GFS. (as been all winter). It now shows a colder solution. One NWS even decided to go for.

Wow

Waiting for precip data to load on EURO to see how juicy it is compared to GFS

No doubt we will see snow here. Next is figuring out how much.

Getting grayer and windier outside now. It went from calm to blustery with good gusts coming in now.

Yup, just had a forcefull wind gust to 35mph.

Check out the Temps and Radar. Some squalls out there and winds gusting to 30mph at times making it feel like January

heads up on these squalls which can cause bad conditions quick! Did you see what happened in Toronto with one of them?

.

EURO12z compared to GFS12z is less for some areas about same for others.

Look at BDL. Only 1/4". meanwhile Long Island gets hammered with a foot of snow with 1.07" liquid. Bridgeport with 7-10" here.

BDR: 0.82"
BDL: 0.32"
DXR: 0.60"
GON: 0.71"
BOS: 0.29"
ISP: 1.07"
NYC: 0.97"

I usually like snow and I would really like one more good snow to close out this season myself. So I am happy to say that the NOAA has upgraded Babylon Long Island from a snow-rain mixture on Monday to all snow and lowered the expected high temperature by a few degrees. And if it snows on Long Island then it will be snow in Connecticut.

So it looks like its trending colder although obviously a lot can change before Monday.

It is what it is. No biggie. Besides all of the snow, the cold this season was a little worse.......really craving springtime, green grass, sun, warmth......I know it's right around the corner so all is good whether it snows a lot or not Monday. Guess I will just have to take a day off from work if it's a lot of snow........and that's never a bad thing!
