I am sure they have people working on things other then Covid right now. Honestly, alot of the work on their end has been done. At this point its sitting back and waiting this thing out.

No reason why the team that was handling the negotiations before cannot kick start them again.

I will put it to you this way. I work for one of the hospital networks in the state. People i work with who were 100% COVID response team, have not moved back to more of their regular role. Is it 100%, no, but have things stabilized where regular work can kick back in, yes. I am sure/hope the state government is doing the same and actually taking advantage of what could be a positive negotiating position for the people of the state.

Absolutely no reason the Gaming Division couldn't work on this as you suggest. If they are still on the payroll, I'm sure they aren't working on Covid-19 full time if at all. Great idea!

But the Governor and his key advisors are busy and they are the ones who makes the decisions on major things like this so I would not count on any progress being made. Jay

If they would have legalized marijuana they would have had that as extra tax revenue during this tough financial time.

Or if they were like MA, only medical marijuana was available - recreational sales were prohibited.

The economy will not be same after the coronavirus there will be many changes we must adapt to new reality. I can see by 2030 a reverse trend people from Florida moving back to CT. Florida might have water crisis in 10 years.

It looks like the industrial parts of north-central CT will be hard hit by the coming recession. What is the state government doing to transform the economies of this region into something that can be sustained in the 21st century?

I’m not sure why you think this. Major employers here were hiring like crazy before the crisis. Many like Pratt & Whitney and UTC Aerospace are heavily government contractors. In fact, so far Connecticut’s unemployment filings are lower than other states because so many major employers already have work from home practices. Jay
