We are getting close to needing to admit this thing isn’t as bad as originally feared, wear masks in crowds, shield the elderly and high risk, and get back to life. Also, mass antibody testing.

We are also close to the economic tipping point, at which point, long-term, lives could well be lost due to economic circumstances.

I am pleased the meeting is happening, as the optimum result is to strike a balance.

Life is never risk free, so when we start down from the apex, I expect things to re-open, in phases.

The first part of your sentence if heavily predicated on the bold mass antibody testing, which, unfortunately we are not that close to achieving on the scale we need.

There's also insufficient information on whether antibodies means you're actually immune. If you're immune, there's no data yet on how long that might last.

Personally, all I can do is estimate my personal risk (I'm 61, it's fairly high) and adjust my life accordingly. This disease is a huge problem for higher risk people who don't have the option to social distance for the next year+.

There’s a lot of “fake news” (not to use a Trump term, but it is) regarding this.

There is sufficient data to show, IMO, that the fatality rate, for people with no underlying health conditions, is not as severe as it first seemed.

Rhode Island will join N.Y., N.J., three other states to create regional plan for restoring economy without spreading coronavirus

Gov. Gina Raimondo has joined forces with governors from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware to come up with a plan to restore the regional economy and get people back to work.

This announcement builds on the states’ ongoing regional approach to combating the pandemic, according to a statement from Raimondo’s office.

No word on Massachusetts

They will absolutely join suit followed by the rest of NE.

the 9 state region (NE + NY NJ PA) is somewhat analagous to California and is essentially the East Coast equivalent
