New York developers have been investing in Hartford for several years now. There are many positive developments happening. I have a family member who lives in Hartford and loves it. It is very convenient and central to work and many activities.

It appears that the Legislature is annoyed that the Governor has such control over the State Bond Commission and wants to change that. With Lamont's so-called debt diet plan, they want more say in what is bonded and what is not. Makes me wonder what their true intention is. It brings up the question, who is more fiscally responsible, the Governor or the Legislature? I feel that the Governor is more out front to the public so he is held accountable for spending. The Legislature can hide behind their numbers and relative anonymity. What do you think? Jay

In this session, the Gov is more fiscally responsible by far. Its been a pleasant surprise to be honest.

He is trying to steal the promised tax breaks for hospitals which would raise health care costs for patients. Maybe he fiscally responsible by Democrat standards but that ain't saying much.

A major Wind Energy producer is adding $45 million to the state's project to improve the State Pier in New London. The goal is to make New London a hub for wind power which is great news for the state. Jay

I'm against putting wind turbines into the sound just as I'm against putting fish farming enclosures into the sound. Too much boat traffic

EXACTLY! Any development will erode property values along the affluent shoreline and we can't have that!

Not in my backyard!
