40s didnt make it to the coast this time but its low to mid 40s throughout the state again. Who's enjoying these cool nights well below normal? VT, NH, ME widespread 30s.

Nice to see that LGA was NOT the "warm spot" of the Northeast (appears to be Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and the Cape......when they are the warmest it's definitely the "ocean influence" as Wavehunter would put it).

And speaking of Wavehunter, looks like a brief one day return to 80-deg on Saturday followed by thundershowers.

Yes, LGA on the map is kinda hidden. At 58. Finally dropped below 60. I believe because during the day they didnt get above 70. So it seems like if they go above low 70s during the day they have a hard time cooling off to under 60.

Coastal NJ, CT, RI, MA all in the 50s. Like a mini warm front. LOL

Just getting back on-line today. I had no power at home due to tree falling across wires…and at work the DSL connection was down for the last 24 hrs! Murphy’s Law – lol.

Yes, see by cams map that the islands stayed warmest…my low last night fell to 53.7 F here on the coast. We should enjoy fine weather for the next several days. I’ll take the 80’s if they happen this weekend…but 60’s or 70’s are still fine by me. It’s just those 20 F nights and sub 40 F highs that I really can’t take (for long) - lol.

One other note (I don’t know both of you are still watching)….but NWS Bridgeport is now down to only 1.7 F above normal for the month of September (current monthly mean temp – 69.9 F). Once they average in the cooler nights for the next few days (and this morning), it appears that NWS Bridgeport might just end with a month close to normal (+/- around 1 F).

At least now I can relax a little…and not fear climate change is happening too fast – lol.

Interesting how Danbury seems to be a cold spot for nighttime temps often.

Just for curiosity sake... If our nights are going 4-9 below normal now, thats like January dropping to low to mid teens at night. Not bad, but thats it? At least we're getting sustained below normal temps..

Well, this is not an exceptionally cold air mass. The key is a northerly flow. I notice it seems summers are more humid now. East and South flows tend lead to warmer than normal nights..West to North flows colder...as Wavehunter would say..its all about the ocean and i agree. Keep the flow off the ocean and the nights will cool nicely.
