Like the energizer bunny... Just keeps going and going. NWS Upton discussion. I'm enjoying these 70s temps but looks like we're going to warm up and stay muggy.

THE BERMUDA HIGH CONTINUES TO PUMP ABUNDANT MOISTURE NORTH FROM
THE GULF OF MEXICO ALONG THE EAST COAST.

STRONG SUBTROPICAL HIGH REMAINS ANCHORED OFF THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST
FOR THE DURATION OF THE PERIOD...CONTINUING A WARM AND MUGGY PATTERN
INTO THE UPCOMING WEEKEND. 850 MB TEMPS WILL RANGE FROM 16C TO
18C...RESULTING IN MAX TEMPS GENERALLY IN THE LOW TO MID 80S THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. BY THURSDAY...THE HIGH SINKS A BIT...RESULTING IN
SOUTHERLY FLOW TURNING A BIT MORE WESTERLY...ALLOWING TEMPS TO WARM
UP INTO THE MID/UPPER 80S WITH HIGHS NEAR 90 IN/AROUND NYC AND
URBANIZED PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST NJ THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

DIURNALLY DRIVEN CONVECTION IS POSSIBLE EACH DAY...MAINLY OVER THE
WESTERN HALF OF THE CWA AS SEVERAL WEAK SHORTWAVES APPROACH THE
REGION. STORMS...HOWEVER...WILL BE SCATTERED AS DYNAMICS ARE WEAK
AND THERE IS NO SIGNIFICANT TRIGGERING MECHANISM FOR A WIDESPREAD
OUTBREAK.

Well the good part is we'll have less of these thunderstorms (though unfortunately, tomorrow I'm heading west for almost a week visiting a couple of relatives in northeastern PA.....sounds like they have a bigger chance of daily storms, especially during fireworks displays )

Any word on what the pattern may be for the next couple of weeks? I am hoping we don't get sucked back into the humid/wet. I don't know how much more of that I can take, I need to dry out!

I am happy to see the upcoming shift to sunshine (!!) though it means hazy, hot, humid 90s.

LOL... And I guess a disappearing act is in store for me too.

GFS says 90s coming with high dewpoints for many days. Summer continues.

This weekend could become brutal.
