I searched this forum and didn't come across a thread about this, but thought it would be interesting for everyone to post their desktops.

Here's mine. The Wallpaper is a photo that I took down at the local lake, I love walking there, it's very beautiful!

I used the snipping tool on windows 8, saved it as .jpeg file, then clicked the attachment when entering the post.

I like the clean uncluttered look ~ All the stuff I'm working on right now is in that folder in the lower right hand corner. Also, I usually have the DeskTop set to change photos every minute; this is just one of my favourites. I took it on June 24th of '10.

I didn't include the menu-bar up top; it would have disclosed too much information. . .

PS
Spoiler
This photo is un-retouched; it was really that gorgeous that day It was at 7:30 am and the sun is at my back.

The picture I have at the moment is overkill for me, usually it looks more like the 2nd image. I find it easier to work with just a solid colour/simple pattern.

Our lot in TN. It's where the arrows are. The desktop is a version w/o the arrows.

I use Ubuntu as my OS, so I have a choice as to desktop environments.

Sometimes I like to keep it simple and use the Gnome Classic panels, and other times I like to use the Avant Windows Manager dock below and a panel up top.
