That's original time frame from when it was proposed a year ago. More than likely this won't start til the end of this year or beginning of next year.

Just read the 2016 Penny Sales Tax Annual Report (http://www.richlandpenny.com/wp-cont...port_pages.pdf). A few things:

1. Greene Street/Foundation Square costed $17.2M?!
2. $12.5M in overhead just in 2016 seems like a lot. There was a scandal related to politician-owned companies that I assume is still being investigated, so I wouldn't be surprised if this figure gets contested.
3. Where is North Main Street being widened?
4. Greene Street Phase 2 design is 70% complete, which makes it sound like the 2018 start date may still be on track.
5. The Mitigation Bank idea is very cool.
6. The Three Rivers Greenway expansion up to zoo is finally kicking off in 2017!
7. Under 2017 design, it lists the intersection of Bull and Elmwood. Does anyone know what the project entails?

Your answer for Bull t And Elmwood. Wish I could find the drawings for it again. Plans unveiled for major updates to Cola's Bull Street - ColaDaily.com | You need the news, not the paper

And your answer for North Main. http://www.abccolumbia.com/2016/02/1...sidents-react/

When I first read your post I thought, "So? That's not surprising". But when I actually read the article it states that the 1 million mark will be reached by Lexington and Richland counties only. Pretty amazing.

Factor in the MSA population in 2035 by including Fairfield, Kershaw, Calhoun and Saluda counties. Also, add Newberry county and probably Orangeburg since these will most likely be added by the bureau by then. I think by 2020, the MSA population will be on the cusp if not at 1 million if Newberry and Orangeburg are added.
