I should play The Beatles old song about Instant Karma's gonna git you.

You can't fix stupid, but COVID-19 will sure put a stop to it.

The sheriffs of El Paso and Weld Counties have stated they won't enforce the mask mandate. Why do they still have their jobs when they refuse to do them (i.e., enforce compliance with a state law)?

Stupid for sure- I'd love to see a picture of the guy too. I'm sure he was overweight and/or had other health issues.

Maybe stores could refuse to ring up orders for people not wearing masks, if they have difficulty enforcing mask wearing at the entrance?

It ties into what the protests are about. Our culture relies too heavily on forceful means of coercion, so the agencies who apply the forceful means are allowed to confuse their feelings for the law. The lawmakers go along with it out of a misplaced fear of strikes.

Any business can ask anyone to leave (common law - the right to refuse service) as long as it's not considered discriminatory based on race, religion, etc. Stupid people are not a protected class.

Yeah there are going to be those people that just bully their way into the store without a mask. I just figured maybe the store can refuse the ones that do this at checkout time?
