Trees breaking under weight of snow all over Colorado Springs tonight.

I woke up this morning to greet 8 inches of snow and it's still snowing.

I've lived in Colorado Springs since 1977 and this type of a storm as late as May 21 is new to me and must set a record.

Unfortunately, several limbs are down on my cottonwoods and the freshly planted petunias are toast.

Gotta love Colorado weather.

This one totally missed Pueblo. Only rain. Even in the foothill suburbs of Rye and Beulah.

Yes! The NBC affiliate in Mesa County is KKCO and they said on the 10 o'clock news that the high for Colorado yesterday was 67 degrees in Trinidad.

It appears all the local news outlets are looking the other way with this storm. I can only find short articles about how the roads are "slushy, causing problems". I think they don't want to admit that the 0-3" forecast was WAY off. We woke up with 10" this morning (Union and Dublin in Colorado Springs). There has to be all kinds of records set with this storm. Like you said, I've never even seen snow on May 21, much less 10" worth.

Remember the second "mini-bomb cyclone" that only gave us a dusting of snow? That storm received dozens of articles with dire warnings, school closures, and more. This storm has received no attention in comparison.

Listening to KNZZ radio and on the 8:45 update they have announced that I-70 through Glenwood Canyon is closed in both directions due to a rockslide. This couldn't happen to a worse time with Memorial day weekend coming up.

Branches everywhere and it even knocked down a whole tree in my yard. This is unacceptable!

Ya it was a goofy storm. That being said as much as I love Pueblo I do realize that it gets less snow then most of Colorado so I have to be ok with that.
