The bowl game is in Miami which would be SEC territory (aka "home" game and 3 points) and the conference is hyped up.
SEC territory? Miami is far from being SEC territory, there's nothing really southern about Miami unless we are speaking in terms of continents. It's more South American than Southern.

Yeah, if anything Miami might be more for Notre Dame.

Florida is in the SEC. Miami has the largest metropolitan area in Florida. It is bound to draw a lot of Florida fans. Also just the fact that Alabama is closer gives it an edge in this case.

The University of Miami and Notre Dame have a heated rivalry. Since plenty of people are fans of Miami they are very likely to not like Notre Dame.
Yeah I'm sure those bloodbaths with Missouri, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, Western Carolina, Florida Atlantic, and Kentucky were brutal.
Jeff Sagarin rates ND's strength of schedule at 30 and Alabama at 35. Not really much different. Game for game though it looks like Alabama's toughest games were tougher, but its weaker games were weak. Alabama played 5 teams ranked in the top 25 at the time, ND just 4.
Against the only common opponent - Michigan, Alabama crushed them 41-14 while ND won 13-6. Notre Dame won twice in OT. Alabama never had to go to OT. ND exceeded 40 pts on offense just twice to Bama's 7 times.

I think Bama wins 31-17.
ND played 9 bowl teams, and it would have been 10 if Miami wouldn't have imposed a postseason ban. You can point to our OT wins but Alabama has A LOSS. Not a close call or an "ugly win" but A REAL LIFE LOSS AS IN THEY DID NOT WIN THE GAME. I'm sick to death of hearing about our "ugly wins" while people gloss over the fact that Alabama actually has been defeated in a game. Alabama did not go to OT but they LOST A GAME! The three good teams Alabama played against they struggled to and could very well be 0-3 in their prime time match-ups. If you want to talk about our close calls why don't you bring up Alabama's?
Ala was listed as a 9 pt favorite in Vegas over ND BEFORE today's game.
Did the Alabama Nose Tackle get a hyper extended Knee and will he be able to play 5 weeks from now, anyone know?
The Alabama nose tackle (Jesse Williams) actually returned to the game on Saturday after he injured his knee.. a brace was placed on his knee and he was able to play most of the 4th qtr... so I suspect he should be available in Jan..
