Yep, I think that once and for all we can put to rest all of the whinin' and complainin' about the Southeastern Conference having two teams in the national championship game.
Frankly, after tonight, I think there's going to be serious consideration about putting a 1 or even a 2-loss SEC team over ANY undefeated non-SEC team. I don't give a flying rat's ass about whether the rest of the country won't be tunin' in. THe bottom line is that the best teams play in the Southeastern Conference and now, after tonight, there is no doubt.
I demand that NorthGeorgiabound come out and admit it: SEC is the best conference -- the Super Conference. No questions asked. Come on, boy.
"Breaking News: CNN reports Obama just announced a executive order, redistributing of Alabama's points to Notre Dame just to be fair"
"Notre Dame has been said to have an SEC caliber Defense. We all just didn't know that they meant Kentucky's"
"Well, you know it's been a bad National Championship Game...when A.J. McCarron's girlfriend was the highlight of the game!"
"A.J. McCarron's girlfriend had Brent Mussberger served with a restraining order during the first commercial break."
That was a bummer of a National Championship Game. I'm glad Bama won, but wish it had been a much better game.
The SEC championship game was a real game. Tonight was just an Alabama highlight reel.

You could see it - the refs gave the Irish a ticky-tack "roughing" the passer call, which finally put the Irish on the board. Be glad they scored, I guess.
You're 100 percent right. The Southeastern Conference Championship game *is* *THE* national championship game from now on. I was almost ready to buy into this notion that ND was a real team. They had the stats to show it. They had the performance against OU to show it. Then they go out and get pushed around like a bunch of junior varsity athletes. Pathetic. It was like Alabama was playin' a pop warner team.
What's up with all of the Oregon boosting in this thread? It's only been 2 years since a much hyped Oregon team got beat in the National Championships by Auburn. It's not like they've never gotten a chance.
And while the Auburn/Oregon score might have been closer, Auburn controlled most of that game.
