^ gonna look nice! The Heart Institute did wonders for the hospitals image, this will help as well. glad it's being done, indeed it's badly needed.

Yeah it should be, my guess is that much more development will come to that area just because of the veteran hospital.

The Daily Reflector

I can't believe these idiots spent nearly $600,000 on signs. For that kind of money might as well just give every visitor a GPS unit to find their way around.

In Greenville private sector news (for once):

Campus Towers downtown has done a lot of work to the exterior of their building. Looking really nice.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks the signage is worth the $...they look great & as an ECU employee, I can't begin to tell you how many people get lost in this town & itch & moan about trying to get in & out of town when they aren't from here. Parents in particular always complain about finding their way around & constantly ask for directions. The city has wasted money on worse things that's for sure. I think they make the city look a little classier & I like how they've broken the city into districts...medical / uptown / convention ... though the convention district sure isn't much, it sounds nice. Here is a link to all the info about the signs:

I'm surprised they don't have a 'University' district' or a 'high crime' district. Anyway - I approve of the signs & the money used.
Maybe we need a high crime district
