I don't know if the court is still on schedule for a December/January opening. If it is I expect to see a few more attorneys setting up shop downtown. I've seen improvements being made in that red-painted brick building adjacent to the PD parking lot, and they've hung a new "for lease" banner from the awning. I'd hate to see that building used as offices, but new business is new business; so bring it on.

Any word if a new office building on the corner of Reade and Dickinson is still in the works?

Also, ground work has begun in earnest on the new downtown apartment complex, including removing the hill on which Georgetown townhomes once stood atop of. Going south down Contanche St. sure looks different now, and will certainly be different when that complex is up.

Alfredo's Pizza is moving into the former Chanello's. I don't know if it's the same Alfredo's that used to be downtown.

View of the new apartment/retail complex site from Cotanche St., with the Cupola Bldg. and the new bankruptcy court in the background.
