It's not laid out like that.

There is the large middle square, then smaller squares around it. 2 small squares on the corners facing Reade Circle.

Elevators & stairwells?
There's a rendering somewhere in this thread, but it's just the exterior.

It isn't that either... there is a sizeable gap between each concrete pad and the main building.

I saw this while on an adjacent rooftop doing some contract work. If I'm back over there tomorrow I will try to grab a pic with my phone.

When did the City Market close? There's an industrial dumpster outside. Anyone know of any new plans for that building?

It was in the university neighborhood, Jarvis street I think.

Many years ago it was called Overton's (like the sporting goods store) and owned by Parker Overton's father. Parker got his start by selling water ski equipment out of the back room.

I know Dr. Unks closed a while ago. The only thing still opened there is Christy's.

They either need to clean up that commercial block, or rezone it for residential.

East Rock Springs Road, south of 14th, is to be closed. It is owned by ECU, but they don't have any immediate plans for it.

NCDOT will install pedestrian improvements at the Evans/Arlington intersection, for the Green Mill Run Greenway extension.

NCDOT is also going to landscape the roundabout at Portertown Road.

The City Market was on Jarvis St. I only went in there a couple of times. It was a dump, looked like it hadn't been updated since the '80's - or maybe even the '70's. I bought a chewy candy bar in there, it was hard as brick. I think it may have been from the original shipment from when the candy bar was newly invented ten years before. Haha!
