anyone know other places in Greenville to buy molding besides Lowes? Garris Evans - Home Builders? I don't know if you can just walk in those places & buy a few pieces or if they are for contractors.
Garris Evans and Home Builders are really just large hardware stores, anyone can buy from them. It's been years but I have driven into Home Builders and bought lumber.

They will sell lumber to anybody that walks through the door. The only difference is the amount of discount the contractor gets, if any.
Live in Atlanta now, but our local Publix manager here says they are moving into Greenville. Double checked several times to make sure he means NC and not SC. Greenville, SC already has several Publix anyway. I did some looking around on Google and of course I can't find anything to confirm this. I did recall the "legend" that Bob Ingle (of Ingle's grocery stores) in NC and whomever owns Publix were good friends and agreed not to go into each others home state. Publix is based in FL. I did find other people recounting this online. Mr. Ingle died March 2011 and in January 2012 Publix did announce that they are moving into NC. First stores will be in Charlotte. So, while this could be a rumor it sounds possible that they will be in Greenville in the next few years.
