When will they start construction?
How tall will/can it be?
Will there be apartments too?

Thanks!
If I get more, I certainly will. Anything I am told is usually pretty general due to legal terms of the developer agreements.
  • I do know that they haven't decided on how many stories it will be.
  • I'm pretty sure that it can be 20 stories in total as Mr216 indicated.
  • The idea is that it will be a mixed use type of facility with both condos and higher-end apartments.
  • I have no timeline on the construction. When I do, I will post it.

It makes you wonder if behind the scenes commitments are being made by Continental/United to the airport. It does make sense for them to have a smaller, secondary midwest hub. Also, a new tower usually means increased traffic is on the horizon. Back when Continental made CLE a hub, the FAA required that the current tower be upgraded in order for that to occur.

I've been in there quite a bit lately and the internal improvements are quite apparent.

I just hope they bring back more international flights. I think/hope Continental sees the benefits and prospects of having a hub at Hopkins.
