Is this really a project? When I commuted on the green line, I think we stopped at 34th maybe 10% of the time.

Not just poor growth, but the jobs are spread too thin. A transit commute just won't work for most people's work/home locations unless they are desperate. I have a 3-4 mile commute but it would take an hour each way by bus, with half an hour of that being outside in the elements walking or waiting for a transfer. It's almost the same amount of time to walk the whole way.

Regarding the E 34/Campus Station:
I think it's there to provide folks that live in public housing, as well users of Tri-C, and maybe the employees/visitors of the prisons there, a chance to use light rail. A considerable walk for most of all of that though.
But I've used it on a few occasions. I was always the only one there on the platform. Was always in bad shape, and at night, beyond creepy. I'd be fine with a re-do if ridership projections favor it (maybe everyone else is as scared as I was to use it in its current state), but I'd also be in favor of relocating or cancelling it based on my personal experiences with it. I was ALWAYS the only one on the platform. The other thing is to do it the way they NEED to do it with elevators, fare machines, etc, they're going to really need to redo the infrastructure and the real estate for one supporting a full-fledged facility. Right now it's basically a stairway off of an overpass. And i'd want security 24/7 there.
The old Euclid Avenue stop that the Little Italy stop replaced reminds me of E 34th because of the nighttime creepiness factor and the poor condition of the platform (facility is too strong a word).

Lakefront developer Dick Pace isn't fazed by news this week that the Cleveland Browns are talking about the future of FirstEnergy Stadium.

In an ESPN report published Thursday, team owner Dee Haslam said the Browns are having early conversations about a project that could be a decade off - or more. Haslam, who owns the team with her husband, Jimmy, mentioned options ranging from renovating the publicly owned facility on the downtown waterfront to building elsewhere in the center city.

As a media frenzy ensued, Pace - who controls lakefront development sites including 18 acres north of the stadium through a joint venture - was unruffled.

Thanks for posting the article. It will be huge, if the project is successfully completed.
