I agree! I've never been there, but those pics, IMHO, make it look more interesting than DTSJ, though looks can be deceiving. San Jose is pretty sleepy compared to other cities I've been to... it's still nice, just... quiet.

I agree. LA's downtown isn't there yet, but, it's on its way; it's way more lively than it was when I lived here the last time around, and night-and-day over when I first visited in '01!

I think that it's important that LA continue to try to attract commerce and entrepeneurs rather than just letting the downtown core get ringed with more overpriced condos and lofts - that can come later. Doesn't seem to be as big an issue as it was in the 00's... just sayin'.

Yea its about 300 miles long. The Riverwalk is developed for about 15 miles.

Its natural, but diverted through downtown. SA is great, always a fun time, theres plenty to do.

That is the natural path only a small section was added that flows into the convention center. If i am correct in 1547 Cabeza De Vaca described the River to the King of Spain which layed the path to its founding. The city got its name in 1691.

I looked at some pics of DT San Jose street scenes and it is actually very impressive and I would rank it as one of the better downtowns. To bad its to close to the Airport limiting the height of buildings.
