The BX wins (or loses), that's probably the worst ever in the U.S.
That's what I'm sayin... wow. That's... embarrassing. That doesn't even look 3rd world, it just looks ****ed up. Now I know why the South Bronx has the reputation... damn.
The South Bronx got like that back in the 70's because of the whole crack epidemic. A lot of the rubble you see on the ground is from buildings that were tore down. The South Bronx has seen a lot of gentrification since then, but it still isn't exactly the safest neighborhood.
A lot of crooked stuff happened back then, that was really when New York was crazy. The city has seen a lot of improvement since then and has become one of the safest big cities in the world. Still, don't think it's all sugar coated, there are still some crazy neighborhoods.

Yea... I heard that Brownsville is hella crazy.
The only thing I can think of that would compare to the bronx back in the 70's would be Belle Glade back when it was a sugar cane town...
I think Detroit takes the cake for ghettos in America in the present. Take a stroll on google maps all the way down this street and it is all the same.
