Rutt's Hut is excellent, I agree.

I think the hot dog award goes to the old meat packing capital.

While our politics are screwy, and despite it being cold as hell in the winter, Chicago knows how to make a good hot dog.

I had one on my way back in last night at 4 am. Sausage with tomato, onions, relish, mustard, and a spear pickle. Best part of my night!

^ Rofl because nathans hot dogs are made from rat tail, balogna, and what ever left overs they put in a meat grinder. You don't eat Chicago style vienna beef in a "competition'. Vienna beef is quality. You cant just get vienna beef from any old greasy street vender like you can a new york hot dog.

What, you think because Nathans's are used in that idiotic and decadent contest that means they're great hot dogs?!? That's odd reasoning.

That's not all I said. I said that NY Hot dogs tastes very different from the other hot dogs. It has this enriched flavor that no other hot dog has.

Chicago hotdogs are far superior in flavor and quality, but NY hotdogs are far more convenient to get...I wish Chicago had street vendors.

Give me a "dragged through the garden" Chicago Dog any day.

If only I could find a decent Chicago Style here in Atlanta. Hope springs eternal.

Whenever I get back to Chicago, one of the first things I plan to do is to go to Hot Doug's to get a Chicago Dog and some Duck Fat Fries. *drools*
