North Dakota cities is NOT more progressive than southern cities. Not when the state population is only 690k+.

Being progressive = growth!

Where did I state that North Dakota cities are progressive? Also, please define progressive and in your opinion, how big does a state and / or city have to be to be considered progressive?

BTW, it's North Dakota cities ARE, not North Dakota cities IS.

For some, but for most it's jobs and cheap cost of living that equals growth.

Might want to check facts before you put your foot in your mouth. North Dakota's economy has blown away all other economic growth in the last 3 or 4 years.

You can't even compare North Dakota to a southern state.

I swear this is hilarious.

Actually, what's hilarious is the fact that you haven't been able to comprehend why ND was mentioned in the first place.

North Dakota's "booming" economy is due to oil, which isn't dependable. Just as Dubai.

North Dakota's growth is not on the level many Southern cities have seen in the last few years either.

Oil has definitely started the boom, but the state is attracting other industries as well. Companies, including Deere & Co., Caterpillar and Amazon, have recently completed major expansions there.

In terms of growth percentage, yes it is. For example, Williston's growth rate between 2010 and 2012 was 25.9%. That's higher than Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Austin, etc....
