I don't have geographic breakdown, but the Baltimore Sun tracker have breakdown per police district:
https://homicides.news.baltimoresun.com/?range=2022

And district map:
https://htv-prod-media.s3.amazonaws....1485551891.pdf

Southern District which includes Sowebo and Carrollton Ridge (where there was like 10 homicides in a month) along with long struggling areas like Cherry Hill and Brooklyn (the section within city limit) is highest with 46, even though there are only 2 homicides in that "peninsula" where the like of Federal Hill/Locust Point is located.

Ultimately there are high homicide rate all over the city limit, except Central District (basically Downtown + Midtown) along with Northern District, which is by far the "whitest" district in Baltimore including old money neighborhood like Homewood and Roland Park alongside relatively gentrified areas like Hampden. That being said downtown area has other problems like homelessness...
I had a cousin who was murdered in Cherry Hill a couple weeks ago. He was a local upcoming rapper. He had hits on the radio.

Sigh...Cherry Hill may be a little bit better than it was but still wouldn't be a place some stranger like me would go into for no reason...

Same for Brooklyn MD, both the Baltimore City section and the AA County part.

Boston is at 28

Was hoping Boston would keep the number below 30 for the year.

West (about 471k)- 29.2
South (1.062m)- 30.2

Granted, a lot of what I included into the west side stats are socially considered to be more northwest (Wicker Park Ukrainian Village) or southwest ( Little Village, Pilsen), and what the average person thinks of the west side only consist of the very high crime and predominately black parts and Humboldt Park depending on the section. Last year, the 11th district(Garfield Park, parts of North Lawndale, Austin, and Humboldt Park) with a population of about 75k within six square miles saw 105 murders, which account for half or more of the total homicides that occurred on the west side. A lot of the murders there were driven by the drug market, which sets it apart from murders conspired on the south side, which seems to see more spontaneous acts of violence, which can give the perception of it being more dangerous.
That makes sense, thanks. I just wonder what the Southwest side belongs to in the homicide statistics, to the West or the South side? By looking at the map of Chicago, it could belong to either. Brighton Park, New City, Chicago Lawn, and West Englewood have seen a lot of homicides this year according to Heyjackass.
