How does St. Louis record its homicides. Someone said all the homicides in St. Louis county are counted as St. Louis homicides.

The city and the county are entirely separate. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is the city's PD and that is their only jurisdiction. The two entities have different courts and prosecutors as well.

Even if St. Louis was a municipality in St. Louis County that wouldn't up the city's the numbers. Although that would up the county's.

The only places in Boston I felt unsafe at night are Franklin Field and the Franklin Field Projects, Methadoone Mile and Grove Hall. I used to feel that way about Dudley Square too.

Plenty of places I keep alert but those are the only 3 I just wouldn't walk around in at night. Ive done Franklin Field and Grove Hall at night. That was more than enough.
Exactly, you know I realy felt unsafe in Brockton when I first moved there, you know coming from Europe, you will think that there is murder in every corner in a US city... So my concerns were more due to the way we portray the US in Europe than witnessing or experiencing anything... Once I got to know how life is, I started going out at night without problem.

For Boston proper, I do not realy know because I was in Brockton but know people who lives in Mattappan and... Let us say that place was cheap for a reason... I remember when they stripped 4 people naken and executed them on the street, one of them was a girl from Brockton

Even though the population in Austin is nearly 2 1/2 times larger than the population in St. Louis, (790k vs 319k) nobody thinks that Austin is moreso a major city than St. Louis, because once a major city, always a major city, despite considerable population loss or not.
